When Prudential created their professional designation showing proficiency in Electronic Commerce, it was the first designation of its kind in the Real Estate Industry. Alan was one of the first 4 agents in the international Prudential Network to become eCertified. He received it at the Prudential Summit Conference in 1998. Alan was also pictured on the front cover (and in t he feature article) of Rock Talk, the Prudential Real Estate company magazine.

Alan has been a life long resident of the Palos Park area, attended Palos District 118 Grammar School & Carl Sandburg High School, Ripon College and received a B.A. Degree from Northern Illinois University. He spent 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard (including 2 years in Spain). Upon returning home in 1972 he entered the family-owned Real Estate business, where he became one of the all time top producing agents in the area. He is also currently a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and is involved in programs that encourage high school kids to consider attending the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Also, licensed Realtor Linda Schaver works with Alan to perform client followup, show homes, hold open houses and help with processing details for Alan's listings and sales.
